Technical Support Engineer | Broughton, UK (Onsite)

Are you an experienced Technical Support Engineer (or Project Engineer) looking to join a busy production environment where your expertise will directly support continuous manufacturing performance? Our client is seeking a proactive and solutions-focused individual to provide day-to-day technical support on the shopfloor, ensuring seamless production and contributing to ongoing operational improvement.

About the Role

This role is based onsite in Broughton and sits at the heart of a fast-paced production team. You'll become an integral part of the lineside support structure, assisting with technical queries, process issues and the smooth flow of work across the manufacturing area. This is an onsite role operating on a double-day shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities as a Technical Support Engineer

  • Provide day-to-day lineside technical support within a manufacturing environment, assisting with missing parts, non-conformities and outstanding work.
  • Support work order management including escalating blocked work orders when required.
  • Assist with capacity management and identifying process inefficiencies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and LEAN activities across the production area.
  • Support tooling, jigs and asset-related tasks including repair requests, modifications and specification input.
  • Assist in maintaining production quality, safety and logistics standards.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Extensive experience in a manufacturing or lineside production environment.
  • Strong practical problem-solving ability.
  • Systematic and organised approach to tasks.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes.
  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent.

Desirable:

  • Experience within aviation or aerospace production.
  • SAP experience.
