Wing Build Support Engineer - Broughton, UK (Onsite)
£44.00ph Umbrella / £32.89ph PAYE

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Wing Build Support Engineer to join their Plant Engineering Team in Broughton, Chester. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you'll be contributing directly to the successful manufacture of major aerospace structures.

In this role, you will act as a critical link between engineering and manufacturing teams, ensuring seamless co-design and build support across the Single Aisle component delivery stream. You'll work closely with a variety of stakeholders to resolve technical issues, drive product improvements and support continuous enhancement across processes, tools and methods. This is a hands-on role where proactive problem solving and a keen eye for detail are essential. A fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in structures, manufacturing and engineering who is looking for an exciting new challenge in the aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities as a Wing Build Support Engineer

  • Provide lineside build support and act as the focal point for engineering topics raised within the Wing Plant.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimised for build efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for design related issues and propose engineering solutions.
  • Support initiatives that enhance team performance, methods, processes and sustainability goals.
  • Communicate industrial requirements clearly to the wider engineering community.

Requirements

  • Strong engineering background with experience in aerospace.
  • Experience in structures design with metallic essential (composites desirable).
  • Able to work fully onsite on a double-day shift pattern.
  • Manufacturing experience within a build environment.
  • Knowledge of CATIA V5 is beneficial.
