Technical Support Engineer
Location: Broughton
Contract Length: Until Nov 2026 (likely extension)
Hours: 35 per week, 4.5‑day pattern between 7am-7pm
IR35: Inside IR35
Pay: £26.92 p/h PAYE / £36 Umbrella
Overtime: 25% Mon-Fri, 50% Sat-Sun, +20% shift uplift
Role Summary
We're seeking a hands-on Technical Support Engineer to deliver fast, effective lineside support on a busy manufacturing shopfloor. You will resolve technical issues, support production continuity, and act as a key connection between production, engineering, quality and logistics teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily lineside support for technical issues including non-conformities, concessions, missing parts, tooling and DQNs.
- Manage and escalate Work Orders and blocked tasks.
- Support continuous improvement, LEAN activities, and process optimisation.
- Raise tooling repairs/modifications and support asset updates.
- Uphold EHS and quality standards and support material flow for rework.
Skills & Experience
- Strong manufacturing/lineside experience.
- Practical problem-solving ability.
- Experience in production/engineering environments.
- SAP knowledge.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
