Belcan are currently working with an industry leader in the aerospace industry to support them with their search for a Digital Site Relationship Manager Inside IR35 for a 9 month contract. The role is Hybrid, and is based in Filton.
Job Profile Summary
The SRM acts proactively as a trusted advisor and contact for the Plant. He/she represents the Digital function towards the Plant by promoting the Digital strategy, services, products and capabilities. He/she represents and defends the business needs to ensure that Digital solutions meet business priorities.
The Filton Plant focuses primarily on the assembly of the equipped wing box and wing components for the aircraft: specifically, A400M fully equipped wings and the A350 gear beam . It also includes the Wing Technology Development Centre (WTDC) and the Additive Layer Manufacturing (ALM) reference centre.
Job Description
● Establish and nurture a strong and trustful relationship with the Filton Plant (OWI and support functions) ensuring attendance to all relevant site routines (SQCDP, plant governance etc.) and report regularly to Plant management on the site's consumption of Digital products and their performance and value ..
● Manage Digital Stakeholder Management for the site, being the focal point for all Digital activities and building a local view of the Digital Strategy
● The SRM leads a local Digital "Digital4Opeartions" Community with the other Digital domains and Digital leaders in Operations. You would be responsible for building and maintaining the overall Digital roadmap for the site with Plant management.
● The SRM ensures a full alignment with the leaders of the other Digital teams supporting the Plant for Digital topics: ERP/SAP, Digital Workplace, Network & Infrastructure etc. and leads the site multifunctional team
● The Filton Plant SRM is expected to be a strong contributor to transnational & company change projects by showing leadership and challenging existing ways of working .
● He/she implements a consistent Digital Demand Mgmt. process for the plant, respecting site management priorities as well as risks/opportunities for the D Product Service Lines (PSLs) and anticipates ramp-up related support/activities.
● Ensures local coordination of D Products deployments, supporting the link with key local stakeholders and anticipating risks/opportunities by providing a consistent local view, taking into considerations local deployments of other D Products and the plant production activities
● Organises robust crisis management and communication to stakeholders. The SRM also follows up with PSLs to ensure root cause analysis & PPS are completed.
● Foster decommissioning of legacy applications for the site in close collaboration with D PSLs/Products
● Promote Digitalisation and Automation by using the capabilities of D Products from PSLs .
● Be part of a strong SRM (Site Relationship Manager) network sharing best practices and targeting operational excellence as well as a better harmonisation across the sites and Natcos.
● Support & develop the ITinOT team to continually improve the cyber security of the Filton plant .
● Contribute to the financial management & capacity balancing of the team.
● Ensure an effective working relationship between Plant Maintenance, Cyber Security (DS) and IT/OT with a clear, agreed RASCI.
● Monitor service level targets and report regularly to the business. Escalate when service levels are not meeting expectations
● Contribute to managing suppliers. Specifically the Digital Shopfloor Bundle supplier: challenge incident response time (MTTR), incident quantity (repeat incidents) and quality of support .
● Support the transition to the new Shopfloor Bundle contract and service provider in Filton.
● Contribute to the DOF and Filton Plant Risk and Opportunities management
Key Outputs
● Business continuity for all Digital solutions used in the plant
● Digital strategy/roadmap for the Plant
● Digital plant ecosystem mapping and update
● Local coordination of Digital product deployments
● PPS (incl. RCA) for Digital incidents and issues impacting operations
● Reporting to OWI and DO management on the Digital Roadmap, Plant View of the D strategy, Digital Performance, Customer Satisfaction.
● Plant Digital Risks and Opportunities including obsolescence of hardware, software and networks infrastructure
