Role Overview

The HR Business Partner delivers a full range of HR services aligned to organisational strategy, partnering with leaders to drive performance, support change, and strengthen workplace culture. They act as the link between HR and the business, ensuring people initiatives are implemented effectively and consistently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders to anticipate people needs and provide proactive HR support.
  • Advise managers on HR policies, employment law, and best practice.
  • Lead core HR cycles including performance reviews, salary reviews, and team reviews.
  • Promote organisational values and contribute to a positive, inclusive culture.
  • Work with Employee Relations to maintain constructive relationships with employee representatives.
  • Support organisational change with a focus on communication and people impact.
  • Coach managers to build capability, develop their teams, and improve engagement.
  • Drive internal mobility and support Talent Management processes.
  • Support disciplinary and grievance cases with Employee Relations specialists.
  • Deliver training on HR policies and people processes.
  • Monitor absence trends and work with managers and Occupational Health to improve attendance.
  • Participate in recruitment and assessment activities and ensure a strong onboarding experience.
  • Produce monthly people data and insights for leadership.
  • Support redeployment and redundancy processes when required.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional HR projects.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong influencing and communication skills.
  • Skilled in conflict management and relationship‑building.
  • Confident challenging assumptions and using initiative.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to connect people insights to business needs.
  • Strong digital literacy, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Able to build effective relationships at all levels.
