HR Advisor - South (Contract)
London + travel | 3‑month contract | Belcan Workforce Solutions
Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to support a major infrastructure programme across the southern region. This is an excellent opportunity for an adaptable HR professional who enjoys a varied workload and is confident managing employee relations within a dynamic, multi‑site environment. The role is home‑based with travel to sites two to three days per week. IR35 determination is yet to be completed.
In this HR Advisor position, you will act as the first point of contact for managers requiring support on all HR policy and employee relations matters. You will manage a diverse caseload, ensuring compliance with employment legislation while providing clear, practical advice. The role also involves coaching line managers, supporting HR activity across the full employment lifecycle, and building trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and advise on ER cases including capability, absence, disciplinary and grievances.
- Ensure adherence to employment law and internal HR policies.
- Coach and develop line managers to build capability.
- Support resource planning, mobilisation and organisational changes.
- Contribute to talent development, succession planning and learning initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working as an HR or ER Advisor in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to work proactively across multiple sites.
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards Level 7) desirable.
