Contract Tooling Design Engineer (Outside IR35)

We are seeking a talented Tooling Design Engineer for an initial 6-month contract - Outside IR35, for one of our clients within the Aerospace Industry on their site in Cardiff, to be responsible for the design of tooling, jigs and fixtures to ensure stipulated specifications and requirements are met and delivered within budget and on time.
What you will be responsible for:
As the Tooling Design Engineer, you will be responsible for taking a general concept and developing it into a finished product with little supervision through creating 3D designs and drawings whilst working to scheduled timelines for efficient releases. You will also be ensuring our designs meet both customer and select tool standards and help with design modifications of existing product.
Essential Skills Required:
- Ability to take a general concept and develop it into a finished product with little supervision.
- Experience of designing tools, jigs and fixtures from concept.
- Experience of producing working drawings, detail drawings, and bills of materials.
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- SolidWorks experience.
- Previous experience in the Aerospace Industry preferred.
