Belcan Workforce Solutions is recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer to join a dynamic infrastructure design team based in London. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across sectors such as custodial, aviation, defence, and power. The Senior Civil Engineer will be expected to bring strong expertise in commercial and land development infrastructure design, with a focus on utilities coordination, drainage and earthworks.
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions in a hybrid working environment, with a minimum of two days in the office. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of solid design experience and be proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage. You will work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to mentoring junior engineers while ensuring technical excellence and compliance with project standards.
The Senior Civil Engineer will play a key role in coordinating below-ground services and drainage systems for large-scale commercial developments. Candidates must have experience beyond highways-focused projects and demonstrate capabilities in sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), flood risk assessments, and earthworks. Security clearance eligibility is essential for certain projects.
Key Requirements:
- HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a recognised Civil Engineering degree
- Chartered or working towards Chartership with ICE
- Proven experience in infrastructure design and coordination
- Technical expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage
- Strong understanding of drainage network design, flood risk assessment, and SuDS
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to mentor, train, and support junior engineers
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Eligibility for security clearance
