Site Agents - 12-Month Contract (Major Infrastructure Project, Southwest UK)

Belcan Workforce Solutions are excited to offer a 12-month contract opportunity for four Site Agents to join our client's team on a high-profile infrastructure project in the Southwest. As a delivery partner on one of the UK's most complex and ambitious construction programmes, this role offers a unique chance to contribute to a nationally significant development.
An IR35 assessment for tax purposes is required for this engagement. In order to determine the Limited Company's correct IR35 status, an individual Limited Company assessment will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage site activities in a client-facing role, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration.
- Coordinate subcontractor operations, chairing regular site meetings and ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Report to senior leadership across multiple project functions, providing clear updates and intelligent oversight.
- Liaise with cross-functional site teams to enable smooth execution of works.
- Identify and manage risks, maintaining the project Risk Register in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Scrutinise technical drawings and documentation, raising TQs, RFIs, and NCRs as needed.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, site licence governance, and company policies.
- Oversee site documentation and handover processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of site experience as an Agent (or 2+ years as a Senior Engineer).
- Strong leadership and coordination skills in a high-pressure environment.
- Proficient in MS Office and technical documentation review.
- Deep understanding of RAMS, SSoW, permits, and site safety protocols.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with BIM tools (Autodesk, Bentley) and digital construction platforms.
- Scheduling experience using Aphex, P6, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of Behavioural Safety and site culture development.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Valid CSCS card.
Desirable:
- Chartered status (ICE, IStructE, etc.).
- Project Management training (APM, Prince2).
- Nuclear site training (Triple Bar).
- SMSTS / IOSH and other relevant site qualifications (e.g., Temporary Works Coordinator, Lifting Appointed Person).
