Hours:
35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Contract Type:
6-month contract (with potential for extension)
Rate:
£27.00/hr Umbrella | £20.18/hr PAYE

About the Role

Our Client is seeking four experienced Role Equipment Specialists to join their dynamic team supporting operations in Brize Norton. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and readiness of critical survival and role-specific equipment for a globally deployed fleet of military transport aircraft.

Working within a high-tempo aerospace environment, you'll play a key role in ensuring equipment is serviced, compliant, and mission-ready. You'll report to the Role Bay Coordinator and Head of Workshops, collaborating closely with both civilian and military personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service chemical oxygen generators per OEM and regulatory standards
  • Inspect, repack, and maintain life vests and survival equipment
  • Input accurate data into maintenance management systems
  • Apply corrosion prevention compounds to components
  • Daily servicing of Class 3 role equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and procedural standards
  • Support continuous improvement and maintain 6S workplace standards

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in servicing survival and/or role equipment
  • Ability to interpret technical publications and follow regulated maintenance practices
  • Competence in digital tools and maintenance data systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience in defence aerospace or military MRO environments
  • Awareness of human factors, FOD prevention, and tool control
  • Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in aircraft maintenance or survival equipment
