Mechanical Design Engineers
Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a new challenge?

If yes, Belcan has the role for you as we are now looking to recruit Mechanical Design Engineers, who will be able to apply mechanical engineering knowledge and design expertise to generate mechanical design solutions for both new products and technological insertions into legacy products. You will be capable of generating detailed designs from concept to completion and addressing a range of engineering issues.
The role has a strong focus on engineering delivery and quality, and you will be able to balance the technical responsibilities inherent within the role and working with the end client.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Ideally be degree qualified with minimum of 3 years applied practice in a marine or offshore environment. Other applicable mechanical disciplines will be considered
- Experience of Stress hand calcs and deflection for mechanical components and samples
- Be proficient in a 3D/2D CAD systems such as Foran, NX, SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc
- Proficient in the use of tools such as Excel, Mathcad, MATLAB etc
- Knowledge of systems design and philosophies
- Experience in aspects of project delivery including technical and quality compliance
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple project requirements simultaneously
- Previous experience with combat active vessels/equipment would be advantageous.
For this role you must be eligible to obtain UK security clearance.
