Belcan Workforce Solutions are working with a market-leading Aerospace company to find a Legal Regulation Engineer to join the EHS team in Filton.
The Legal Regulation Engineer will ensure the legal compliance of industrial manufacturing systems within the Filton Plant, for example, machines, jigs and fixtures, and hand tools. This will include providing support to managers in the identification of work-related hazards within the workplace and assessing/categorising the related occupational risks according to statutes, procedures, and regulations.
The successful candidate will be required to share knowledge and provide guidance on EHS requirements in industrial processes, national laws, and regulations relating to the workplace, as well as provide direction to the operational management. Therefore, knowledge of UKCA/CE requirements, REACH, LOLER, PUWER, and COSHH are essential to be successful in this role. Other responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) creating and maintaining documentation such as risk assessments, planning and conducting ergonomic studies, and being the Plant's point of contact for central industrial process and procedures updates.
The ideal candidate will be an EHS professional with formal qualifications to certificate level as a minimum, i.e., NEBOSH or IOSH, and will have experience of industrial management systems. Experience of the "FISH" (CORITY) Incident Management Process Tool would also be beneficial, although it is not a necessity. Additionally, an understanding of asset management would be advantageous.
