The Opportunity
Belcan Workforce Solutions is working in partnership with a specialist steel fabrication company who deliver major national infrastructure projects in Rail, Highways, Energy and Engineering. They are looking for an experienced Estimator to join their team in Loughborough due to recent growth across the company.
You will be converting orders into manufacturing packages, receiving enquiries, and building ongoing professional relationships with key customers in order to help the company meet the increasing demand.
Roles & Responsibilities
As part of the Sales & Estimating Department, you will be required to read technical tender drawings and extract and price materials before generating quotation documents to send to clients. You will also be deciding the best process route for items to be fabricated for labour pricing purposes, establishing supply chain costs to be included in tenders, and negotiating and completing tenders to sales.
As an Estimator, you will be building relationships with customers as an expert in the Steel Fabrication sector to ensure confidence in the company and to recognise new business opportunities for the Business Development Manager to pursue.
Requirements
You must be a proactive and highly organised individual with strong time management and planning skills. As you will be liaising with customers you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and an expert knowledge of the steel fabrication sector and the industries that feed into it. You must have strong financial and numerical skills and have a meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all quotation documents are accurate.
