Design Engineer (Liquid Hydrogen Experience) OUTSIDE IR35

Contract: Outside IR35 - 6 month duration

Belcan Engineering Services work with a number of engineering clients globally, assisting with developing new technologies at the early stages of innovative projects, we are currently working with an Aircraft Design and Manufacturing client within our Bristol division on a project that will see liquid hydrogen used as a primary fuel, in order to lower carbon emissions and lessen the environmental impact.
We are seeking a Mechancial Engineer who holds either a HNC/HND in design who has previous knowledge of the use and storage of liquid hydrogen is required such as
- Single/Multi liquid hydrogen tank configurations & material choices for concepts
- Manufacturability assessment (current and future technologies)
- Maintenance, Inspection and lifecycle assessments
- Safety and certification implications of concepts
Primary structure design experience for major OEM's a benefit. The Candidate must be proficient with Catia V5.
