Due to the continued growth Belcan is currently experiencing, we are now looking to recruit a Control Systems Engineer on an initial 6 month Outside IR35 contract.
You will be working on a variety of live projects within the energy and utilities sector supporting our team in Cheltenham with visits to UK sites.
From user specifications to test procedures and PLC software programming, our Control Systems Engineers are responsible for carrying out the full lifecycle activities.
Your day-to-day tasks will include working on DCS/SCADA/PLC and safety systems, project planning as well as maintaining and communicating project technical documentation.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of all aspects of Control Systems Engineering, supported by knowledge of full PLC software design and build lifecycle, in line with international standards.
Experience in using one of more control system hardware platforms (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Rockwell for example) is essential along with Linux, Databases and Network Equipment Configuration.
Previous experience working within the oil and gas industry, or a similar field is preferred.
