Contract Manager - Industrial Maintenance (Broughton Plant)

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and commercially astute Contract Manager to take the lead in a dynamic industrial maintenance environment. Based at the Broughton Plant, this role supports a high-performance operation that spans mechanical and electrical CNC machinery, conventional production equipment, paint shops, and chemical processing facilities.

The Industrial Maintenance organisation delivers maintenance, calibration, and component manufacturing across a wide range of assets and hand tools. Services are delivered through a blend of in-house teams and external providers. The Contract Manager will report to the Commercial Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring service excellence, cost efficiency, and contractual compliance across multiple service providers.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environmental Leadership

  • Ensure all contractor activities comply with relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
  • Drive robust EHS governance and performance monitoring across all service scopes.
  • Promote a culture of safety and accountability through regular process confirmations and visible standards.

Commercial & Performance Governance

  • Translate customer requirements into effective commercial arrangements and KPIs.
  • Lead performance reviews, deep dives, and continuous improvement initiatives across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People.
  • Maintain rigorous budget control, cost forecasting, and invoice validation.
  • Ensure ethical compliance and contractual integrity across all service engagements.

Procurement Collaboration

  • Work closely with Procurement to ensure alignment with sourcing strategies and contract execution.
  • Support tendering, evaluation, and negotiation processes with key data and insights.
  • Ensure timely and coordinated handling of all contractual matters in collaboration with Procurement and Legal.

Success Measures

  • Safe, compliant, and high-quality service delivery across all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contracts managed effectively against Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery metrics.
  • High levels of customer satisfaction and strong supplier performance.
  • Budget performance optimised through proactive risk management and opportunity identification.
