Belcan Workforce Solutions are currently looking for a Compliance Engineer to work for our Off-Highway client based in Desford.

The BCP Worktool Compliance Coordinator is responsible for applying regulatory compliance processes to BCP Worktools and components, ensuring market access (ability to certify and sell) of our product. Responsibilities include certification of the equipment in accordance with regional and local regulations. The role contributes to the on-time, on-quality product delivery to customers.

Competencies unique to this position include a deep understanding of industry standards/regulation, broad knowledge of the our product line and an extensive network of business partners and peers to develop "must win" solutions. Knowledge of regional safety mark compliance processes, most notably European CE and Great Britain UKCA marking processes are highly desired. Base knowledge and ability to learn Functional Safety concepts as related to NRMM products/components a plus.

The skill level definitions for this position are for somebody with five to ten years of technical product experience to begin the assignment in a learning phase with the objectives of developing a network and understanding of executing project work in the compliance space as a practitioner. The candidate needs coaching from senior level coordinators or supervisors.

To you be required to obtain all required certifications globally for BCP Worktools and/or select components, most notably European CE certification and Great Britain UKCA certification and maintain existing approvals/certifications for BCP Worktools.

You will establish and execute on required Functional Safety documentation for selected complex BCP Worktool products. Develop the process to manage/monitor supplier provided certifications and act as a single point of contact between product group, Product Compliance & Support [PC&S], and any 3rd party agency/notified bodies.

You will place all supporting compliance documents and maintain them in a secure location with correct retention schedule and request PC&S approval for listing product as compliant to specific regulations. Provide NPI support/feedback for compliant machine/worktool/component design, participate in NPI core team meetings, NPI team meetings, and space claim meetings and approve Engineering Change Order for all prints that impact product compliance / product safety.

Reporting to BCP R&PC Manager while executing project engineering activities. You will collect all information related to the assigned application project and provide design support during the construction/commissioning phase. Whilst working across functions (with various internal groups) to establish and achieve cost reduction & timely delivery.

You will help educate and train worktool and component system teams on relevant technical regulations that apply to their product. Showing experience in using Interface with other work tool teams and product groups drive a common corporate wide regulatory strategy moving forward.

You will be responsible for organising overseas inspection trips for inspectors and accompany them.

Arrange review meetings, product test, site-inspection and factory inspection with officials, test centre inspectors, customers, CAT internal groups etc.

You will ideally have a Bachelor degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Five years of technical knowledge background such as experience in design, engineering, manufacturing and service of electrical equipment. Knowledge of International Standards, Export Law and Regulations as applied to our products. Capable to read, understand, discuss and make necessary design change on drawings, manuals, technical documents etc.

Microsoft Office is required, SISTEMA [functional safety] experience will be a plus.
