Sitec - a Belcan company are currently looking to recruit a V6X Design Engineer for a nuclear MoD establishment in Reading. The post is an estimated 12 month contract initially and is paying competitively on an hourly basis
You must hold current SC Clearance to apply for this position as the end customers projects are of an extremely high level of classification. Sitec can only accept applications from those resident in the UK for the last 10 years who hold a full British Passport. Unfortunately, dual nationals will not be considered for this role.
The position has been deemed Outside of IR35.
Key requirements and essential skills for the role:
- Essential: Awareness of the companies managed design process & awareness of engineering design and substantiation techniques.
- Desirable: Knowledge of any of the following analysis types: Implicit FEA; Explicit FEA; Pressure vessel substantiation to ASME BPVC, PD5500 or similar; and Mechanical handling substantiation to BS EN 13001 or similar. Knowledge of stage gate design process and required documentation. Proficiency in MathCad
Qualifications required:
- Essential: HNC/D or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline.
- Desirable: Membership of an Engineering Institute, at minimum level of I Eng. (or equivalent), Engineering Degree (Hons) and Chartered Engineer (or equivalent).
