Technical Shopfloor Support
Location: Broughton (Onsite)
12 month contract (Inside IR35)
Pay Rate: £26.92 PAYE or £36 Umbrella (plus 20% shift uplift)
Shift Pattern: Double day shift, alternating weekly
- Morning Shift: 6:00am - 1:10pm
- Afternoon Shift: 1:30pm - 8:40pm
Role Overview:
The Technical Shopfloor Engineer will work closely with the production team and Autonomous Production Team (APT) to support manufacturing operations. This role involves identifying and resolving technical issues beyond the scope of operators and first-line managers, ensuring continuous production enablement, and contributing to operational excellence through process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
You will accompany the production team and Autonomous Production Team (APT) to provide direct support on the shopfloor. Your role will involve identifying, analysing, and resolving technical issues that cannot be managed by operators or first-line managers. You will offer an end-to-end perspective at the shopfloor level, helping to bridge gaps in technical understanding and process execution within the organisation's production teams.
You will be responsible for enabling continuous production by effectively utilising available resources and applying your technical knowledge. In addition, you will contribute to operational excellence by actively participating in the continuous improvement of operational processes. You will also support the identification of non-conformances on the shopfloor, helping to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, a HNC qualification is desirable, and you must have experience in manufacturing engineering. You should be comfortable working within regulatory requirements and constraints, and possess strong project management capabilities. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work autonomously, adapt to changing circumstances, and take proactive initiative.
You must maintain a strong customer focus and ensure product safety at all times. Additionally, you will support activities aimed at reducing non-conformities, contributing to the overall improvement of production quality and efficiency.
