Supply Officer - Drive Global Supply Chain Excellence

Location: Broughton

Work Style: Hybrid - Split time between home and office

Hourly Rate: £29p/h Inside IR35

An exciting opportunity has opened within the Supply Chain Operations team for a Supply Officer based in Broughton. This role offers the chance to work at the intersection of plant operations, final assembly lines, and procurement, within a dynamic and digitally evolving supply network.

Role Overview

The Supply Officer will manage a portfolio of suppliers supporting wing programmes across a global supply chain. Operating in a fast-paced environment, the role demands proactive performance management, strategic thinking, and digital fluency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily supplier portfolio using current business tools and emerging digital solutions
  • Anticipate risks and lead mitigation strategies
  • Control demand and forecasting accuracy
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Prioritise supply chain actions and challenge underperformance
  • Lead supplier recovery initiatives and working parties
  • Define optimal ordering strategies and automation processes
  • Use data tools to drive supply chain decisions
  • Manage order books and maintain MRP master data
  • Act as primary contact for supply chain queries from operations
  • Optimise procured goods stock levels
  • Support transformation projects in supply chain and logistics
  • Collaborate transnationally with procurement and quality teams

Skills & Experience

Ideal candidates will bring experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, or Design Engineering
  • Digital tools and solution deployment
  • Transnational collaboration
  • MRP systems and SAP in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Project management and LEAN methodology
  • Excellent communication across all business levels
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel
  • Professional proficiency in English
