Supply Chain Quality Manager - Broughton, UK (Contract)

Our client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Quality Manager to join their Procurement and Supply Chain Operations team, supporting a global network of suppliers delivering detailed machined and formed components for major aerospace programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of supplier performance, drive continuous improvement and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery across a complex international supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

As the Supply Chain Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supplier oversight and quality performance. Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the main interface for suppliers on operational matters.
  • Supporting supplier assessment throughout tendering processes and contributing to selection decisions.
  • Managing supply chain and quality requirements within supplier contracts, ensuring delivery on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Overseeing supplier approvals and ensuring compliance with all necessary certifications.
  • Monitoring new product introduction activities to ensure industrial maturity before serial production.
  • Assessing supplier capacity, capability and performance while identifying development opportunities.
  • Identifying supply chain risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Managing supplier performance improvement initiatives.
  • Reporting on supplier operational performance and utilising relevant procurement and quality tools.

Requirements

  • Strong experience within Supply Chain management
  • Solid understanding of supply chain principles, quality standards and industry compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing non-conformances, quality surveys and escape processes.
  • Background within manufacturing, ideally machining.
  • Advanced English language skills.
  • Proficiency with SAP and other supply chain systems.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 6 months, likely extension
  • Hours: 35 per week, Monday-Friday (flexi‑day working)
  • Pay: £41.00 per hour Umbrella / £30.64 PAYE
  • IR35: Off‑payroll rules apply (inside IR35)
  • Travel: Required across the UK and Europe
