The Opportunity
Belcan Workforce Solutions have partnered with a leading manufacturer of diesel engines in their search for a Supplier Development Engineer based at their Stafford site for an initial period of 12 months.
Roles & Responsibilities
The opportunities are endless for the Supplier Development Engineer as you will be providing a link between the supplier and our client's various facilities.
Daily tasks will involve working proactively with suppliers to identify improvement opportunities in their processes by conducting process audits and ensure any gaps in their processes are closed in a timely manner and assisting suppliers with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities including feasibility studies and process failure modes effects analysis (PFMEA).
Additional responsibilities will include auditing overall supplier capability and process control implementation and effectiveness to validate process capability, ensuring Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) completion and approval prior to delivery of new parts, and reviewing, approving, and validating 8D permanent corrective action plans.
About You
You must have experience with viewing capacity PPAPs and APQP and preferably have experience within a foundry machine shop. You should be confident dealing with all levels of people across businesses and know how to communicate with all different groups and stakeholders.
