Job Title: Stress Team Leader
Location: Rzeszow
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Stress Team Leader to lead and develop a team of Stress Engineers within our Gas Turbine Propulsion business. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, assurance, and delivery of high‑quality stress and structural integrity assessments across complex turbomachinery components and assemblies.
This role combines hands-on technical expertise with people leadership, supporting programme delivery, capability development, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Provide expert stress analysis support for gas turbine engine components and assemblies across the product lifecycle.
- Lead and review complex structural, fatigue, and life assessments to ensure mechanical integrity and compliance with design and certification requirements.
- Support and guide aero‑mechanical and turbomachinery structural analyses.
- Ensure best practice use of FEA methods, tools, and processes.
People & Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Stress Engineers, supporting capability growth and performance management.
- Allocate work and manage priorities to meet programme milestones.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide coaching to ensure high‑quality engineering output.
Programme & Stakeholder Engagement
- Interface with design, aerodynamic, materials, manufacturing, and safety teams.
- Support project planning, risk management, and technical decision‑making.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
Toolsets (one or more):
- ANSYS
- ABAQUS
- HyperMesh
Technical Expertise:
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Fatigue and cyclic life analysis
- Assessment of mechanical integrity of components and assemblies
- Elastic and inelastic stress assessments
- Turbomachinery aero‑mechanical design and analysis
Preferred Experience (Desirable):
- Gas turbine or aerospace propulsion systems
- Leadership or technical authority experience within a stress discipline
- Design substantiation in regulated or safety‑critical environments
Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
- Chartered Engineer status or progress toward chartership (desirable)
