T400 Stress Engineer

12-Month Contract | Broughton / Filton | £46-£52 per hour (Umbrella)

We are seeking an experienced stress engineer to join an aerospace wing engineering team on an initial 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly skilled engineering environment, supporting the analysis and validation of aircraft structures to ensure continued airworthiness and compliance.

T400 Stress Engineer - Role Details

  • Position: T400 Stress Engineer
  • Location: Broughton / Filton
  • Contract Length: 12 Months
  • Pay Rate: £46 - £52 per hour (Umbrella) + 30% Shift Allowance if applicable
  • Working Hours: 35 hours per week
  • IR35 Status: Inside IR35
  • Security Clearance: BPSS Required

T400 Stress Engineer - Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct static structural analysis of both metallic and composite aircraft structures.
  • Analyse and validate metallic, composite and hybrid structures at component level, including:
    • Static Strength
    • Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT)
  • Produce strength margins and reserve factors using validated methodologies and sizing processes.
  • Perform stress analysis activities to support repair solutions and concession acceptance activities.
  • Ensure all structural assessments comply with relevant airworthiness requirements.
  • Work collaboratively within the Wing Plant Engineering Team to support production and engineering objectives.

T400 Stress Engineer- Essential Experience

  • Previous T400 Concessions Approval.
  • Experience in aircraft structural stress analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of metallic and composite structures.
  • Experience producing structural substantiation for concessions, repairs or acceptance activities.
  • Aircraft industry experience, including commercial or military aviation.
