Position: Stress Engineer - Fuselage Plant Engineering Team
Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Type: 12-month contract, inside IR35, on-site (potential for shift work due to 24-hour plant operations)
About the Team
- Embedded within the fuselage assembly line.
- Composed of structural engineers, technical specialists, and engineering leads.
- Focused on delivering innovative technical solutions for aerospace products.
- Strong emphasis on continuous learning, digitalisation, and cross-program experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform static structural analysis on metallic and composite/hybrid structures.
- Validate structures for static strength and fatigue & damage tolerance (F&DT).
- Provide stress analysis for repairs and concessions.
- Ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements.
- Collaborate with Chief Engineers, Technical Authorities, and suppliers.
- Contribute to future product development and incremental innovations.
Skills & Experience Required
- Ideally, prior T400 Concessions Approval.
- Open to candidates with relevant stress and/or concessions experience, even without formal approval.
- Strong background in aircraft structural design, preferably in airframe stress analysis.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools and methods (e.g., ISAMI, FEM/DFEM) is a plus.
- Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Good team spirit, integrity, and a proactive mindset.
