Contract Role: Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer - Structural Analysis Team | Filton
A leading aerospace engineering team is seeking a Contract Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) Engineer to support a variety of wing-related structural analysis projects. This is a great opportunity to contribute to technically challenging work across multiple aircraft programmes, from development through to in-service support.
This 6-month contract offers the chance to work alongside experienced specialists in a collaborative, technically focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Approve F&DT deliverables and lead the resolution of structural issues.
- Manage the technical scope of assigned tasks and projects.
- Apply innovative thinking and cross-industry experience to engineering solutions.
- Support and mentor junior engineers in both technical and behavioural development.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in structural engineering and analytical techniques.
- Strong understanding of aircraft structural design principles.
- Background in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis; ideally with or close to signatory approval.
- Degree-qualified in engineering with a focus on structural analysis.
- Ability to think critically and propose new approaches.
