Our Aerospace client is seeking a proactive and organised Stores Assistant to support maintenance operations within a busy aircraft maintenance environment. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with warehouse, stores, industrial, automotive, or aviation experience who enjoy working in a hands-on role supporting engineering teams.

The Role

As a Stores Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring maintenance teams have the tools, materials, and components they need to carry out their work efficiently. You will act as a vital link between stores, tooling teams, and maintenance bays, helping to minimise downtime and maintain a safe, organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, stage, and deliver parts, consumables, hardware, and tooling to maintenance teams.
  • Prepare and organise project kits, ensuring materials are allocated correctly.
  • Return and track specialist tooling in line with operational procedures.
  • Liaise closely with stores, tool rooms, and maintenance teams.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards within designated work areas.
  • Monitor and support Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control activities.
  • Dispose of waste materials safely and in accordance with site procedures.
  • Ensure support equipment remains clean, organised, and operational.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within a warehouse, stores, industrial, automotive, manufacturing, or aviation environment.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and colleagues.
  • A self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the working day.

Working Environment

This role is based within an active aircraft maintenance facility where you will be exposed to a fast-paced engineering environment. Appropriate PPE will be required and provided in line with site safety requirements.

If you're looking for an opportunity to join a professional engineering environment where your support will directly contribute to operational success, we'd love to hear from you.
