Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our agile Scrum team, contributing to the development and delivery of cutting-edge software solutions in the Satellite Communications domain. This role involves working across the full software development lifecycle, with a strong focus on test automation, exploratory testing, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate and verify code quality for new product development using agile methodologies.
  • Design, implement, and execute manual and automated test cases using Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and Postman.
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
  • Interpret Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) diagrams to inform test planning.
  • Participate in sprint planning, task estimation, and daily stand-ups.
  • Produce and maintain test documentation in line with project standards.
  • Support Test Readiness Boards and Test Reviews under the guidance of the Test Lead.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to complete test phases across the development lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of Agile development processes.
  • Proven experience in test automation using Java and Selenium.
  • Proficiency in testing RESTful APIs using Postman or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Git and Jira.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to deliver results on time and within scope.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Cucumber for BDD testing.
  • Understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Ability to promote innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.

Additional Information

  • Due to the nature of the work, some on-site presence is required. The frequency will be tailored to individual and team needs.
  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain or currently hold Security Clearance (SC).
