Are you ready to lead planning on one of the UK's most high-profile industrial projects? We're looking for a Senior Planner to join a forward-thinking team at the Puma Project in Hull. What You'll Be Doing
As the Senior Planner, you'll be the strategic engine behind project control and planning. You'll collaborate with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to ensure every milestone is met with precision and purpose.
Your mission includes
- Designing and executing a robust project control strategy.
- Leading the development of fully integrated project schedules with resource loading and critical path analysis.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Establishing cost engineering systems and reporting frameworks.
- Driving risk management, value analysis, and performance monitoring.
- Championing best practices and continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Project Control Meetings and monthly board reporting.
- Integrate and optimise programmes from multiple sources.
- Define and implement work breakdown structures and estimating formats.
- Monitor budgets, track progress, and manage change control processes.
- Develop and roll out naming conventions and rules of credit in P6.
What You Bring to the Table
- 8+ years in a senior project controls role, ideally in engineering or construction.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, SAP, and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical mindset and exceptional communication skills.
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience with Power BI and Microsoft tools.
- PMO experience and professional certifications (ICostE, CEng, IEng) are a plus.
