Belcan Workforce Solutions are currently looking for a Senior Estimator for a Defence establishment in Reading. The post is for an estimated 12 month contract and is paying competitively on an hourly basis.
Successful applicants will be required to be Security Cleared prior to appointment and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain UK Security Clearance. Candidates should be willing and able to work in designated areas where the need arises.
The position has been deemed Outside of IR35.
The Role
The successful candidate will be a senior member of the Business Management sub-function providing and delivering estimating capability in support of the company's projects.
Key Accountabilities:
- Operate to best practice estimating policy, processes and procedures on projects.
- Providing cost estimates and cost plans within levels of certainty, provisioning effective monitoring, forecasting and control of financial limits
- Assist value engineering assessments and evaluation as part of the project process.
- Providing estimating input to performance reporting, risk and change assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement proposal strategies
- Providing estimating input and support to the project team with regard value engineering assessments and evaluating results as part of the project process.
- Providing estimating support to risk assessments and mitigation actions
