Electrical Engineer
Profile:
A Senior Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical distribution system, including circuits, 3D harness packaging and 2D drawings, both Installation and harness manufacturing.
Supervise and guide the Electrical Engineers working on circuit and form board design
The senior engineer will work under the technical supervision of Belcan.
Detailed task responsibilities
- Design of the electrical circuits using Zuken E3 tool set, including schematics and harness nail board / form board drawings.
- Produce 2D layout drawings and assembly drawings.
- Compile Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the designs.
- Electrical understanding covering fusing and electrical protection strategy to circuit designs.
- Taking supplier datasheets and integrating components into existing vehicles designs.
- Ground up system design of electrical and multiplex systems.
- Knowledge of J1939 Controller Area Network - mainly at physical layer.
- Prepare and deliver clear, effective technical information to the customer.
- Where required design components, brackets and harness management devices to suit the installation considering value and weight.
- Carry out concept design studies and present outcome for review.
- Translating circuit diagrams into 3D CAD models, including positioning equipment and routing harnesses.
- Obtain and implement specifications accurately and effectively.
- Involved in FMEA.
Principle Responsibilities:

- Interacts with customer technical focal points as required
- Be able to interact well with both internal and external stakeholders and communicate technical issues; propose solutions for features which do not meet the requirements etc.
- Supporting team leader to define approach, timescales and hours associated with tasks

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree (or similar)
- Understanding of Electrical Circuit Diagrams and Schematics - E3
- Good understand of Solid Edge
