Belcan Workforce Solutions is looking for SCADA Engineer for our client a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across the chemical & petrochemical, nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities, renewables and food & beverage markets. We enhance the efficiency of assets, ensuring a high level of availability and reducing maintenance costs. We have extensive experience in offshore and onshore facilities; specialising in asset management services throughout all life cycle phases from consulting, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning.

Reporting directly to the SCADA Lead, the SCADA Engineer will support the SCADA Lead in all aspects of SCADA Commissioning including collating desktop survey information. The SCADA Engineer must ensure that all works are completed to the client's required standards to time, cost and quality, reporting any issues in a timely manner to the SCADA Lead for assistance with resolution.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manages all aspects of SCADA Commissioning under their control, including SRSA Creation, IT/TAPS Requests and System Health Checks
  • Respond timeously on progress and to all requests from the SCADA Lead
  • Liaise with Operational Technology Team on progress and latest design changes
  • Complete quality checks of work to ensure required standards are met. Quality assure others' work and where necessary highlight corrections ahead of site commissioning works
  • Monitor and report progress against plan, highlighting any delays to the SCADA Lead in order to mitigate and manage change in the project delivery
  • Communicate with the site teams prior to during and after commissioning
  • Provide technical support and knowledge to other team members
  • Complete handover documentation within the required timescales
  • Complete required Health & Safety actions on a site by site basis, recording and reporting on the company Systems (Active)

Qualifications and Experience:

  • ClearSCADA 'Top End' Commissioning
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Quality Assurance
  • System Health Checking
  • System Alarm Analysis and Testing
  • SCADA/ClearSCADA
  • Experience in the Water Industry (Not Essential)
  • Experience of Brodersen (Not Essential)
  • Experience in Back Up Control (Not Essential)
  • Knowledge of SCADA/Tep 2/Tep 1 (Not Essential)
  • Water Card (EUSR) (Not Essential)
  • Thames Water Passport (Not Essential)
  • PLC (Not Essential)
  • Thames Water ClearSCADA Training (Not Essential)
  • Good communication skills, personable with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Good Organisational skills and time management
  • Able to work on own Initiative, confident and assertive individual
  • Computer Literate - all MS Office Software
  • High attention to detail/quality and Integrity
  • Qualification in the relevant fields of expertise (Not Essential)
