Belcan's Aerospace Engineering Division has currently gone through a period of significant growth, we are now looking to recruit a team of Repair Stress Engineers at all levels, on a permanent basis. Our current team is built upon our 16+ years of Aircraft Repair Engineering heritage designing, analysing, approving, and delivering minor and major primary and secondary structural repairs.
Your Role
Our Repair Stress Engineers work closely with our clients to ensure all requirements are met on time, in full, whilst continuously maintaining Belcan's high standards of quality and service. Day to day you will work with our design team to provide hand calculations and technical documents to support repairs within a short turnaround. Examples for these repairs could include, lightning strikes, uncontained rotor failure damage and repair embodiment programmes covering entire fleets for large commercial and military aircraft (fixed wing and rotors).
Requirements
Candidates with a minimum BEng Mechanical or Aeronautical Degree with equivalent experience will be considered. A firm understanding in structural design and repairs supported by hand calculations or software experience (Ansys, Nastran, Patran, Siemens NX or similar) is essential, for those above graduate level. You will understand the importance of airworthiness standards and be clear on the importance of short turnarounds.
