Repair Design Engineers(Junior And Senior)

Permanent and Contract(Outside of IR35)

Salary - Competetive

Your Role

Aircraft Repair Engineering and Customer Service Support for Aircraft Manufacturers, Airlines and Part 21J organisations is in our DNA. Our team is built upon years of Aircraft Repair Engineering heritage designing, analysing, approving and delivering minor and major primary and secondary structural repairs.

From lightning strike, to uncontained rotor failure damage, and repair embodiment programmes covering entire fleets for large commercial and military aircraft (fixed wing and rotors).

If you are passionate about Aircraft Repair Engineering, and you want to be part of a proactive, exciting, digitally focused, and efficient Aircraft Repair Engineering Team then we want to hear from you.

Hybrid and Remote working available dependent on experience.

Principle Responsibilities

Working with an approachable and experienced team of dedicated, responsive, dynamic and forward-thinking design, static and fatigue engineers. The repair design engineer's role would suit a candidate with Catia V5 experience who is familiar with part and assembly design, and can interrogate drawings, DMUs and technical reports of multiple aircraft types to provide repair designs.

You will be expected to deliver repairs for live aircraft whilst working to strict timescales and with flexibility in your approach. Providing the best solution for the life of the airframe is the minimum that we expect to achieve for our customers.

You must have the ability to proactively manage and organise individual workload, as well as tasks to support the wider team. You will have good tactical communication skills to provide efficient responses to internal and external stakeholders. A good command of technical English, both written and verbal, is essential.

Required Qualifications

The repair design engineer's role would suit a candidate with Catia V5 experience who is familiar with part and assembly design, and can interrogate drawings, DMUs and technical reports of multiple aircraft types to provide repair designs.

MEng / BEng Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering Degree (or equivalent) preferred although any candidates with the right experience will be considered with a minimum Mechanical HNC/HND.

Deliverables

The role involves the preparation and review of bespoke and generic repair parts, assemblies, drawings and repair instructions to support the repair certification process.

The ability to manage multiple projects with different time scales and priorities simultaneously.

The ability to write approval documentation to support the designs would be advantageous.
