Belcan's Aerospace Engineering Division is currently going through a period of significant growth. We are now looking to recruit a team of Repair Design Engineers, at all levels, on a permanent basis. Our current team is built upon our 16+ years of Aircraft Repair Engineering heritage designing, analysing, approving, and delivering minor and major primary and secondary structural repairs.
Day to day, you will use Catia V5 to create assembly drawings as well as interrogating DMU's and technical reports to provide repair designs within a short turnaround. Examples for these repairs could include, lightning strikes, uncontained rotor failure damage and repair embodiment programmes covering entire fleets for large commercial and military aircraft (fixed wing and rotors), on a variety of different projects.
Candidates with a minimum Mechanical HNC Qualification or equivalent and relevant experience will be considered. Clear experience and understanding within the use of Catia V5 is essential. You will understand airworthiness standards and have some experience in the maintenance of aircraft. Previous experience in the verification of documents or checking/approving of designs would be advantageous but is not essential.
