Project Planner - EPCM | 12-Month Contract | Hybrid (Barnard Castle, County Durham)
Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting a Project Planner to support a major EPCM framework for a leading UK organisation in the life sciences and advanced manufacturing sector. This is a 12-month contract role based in Barnard Castle, County Durham, with a hybrid working model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
As a Project Planner, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, and supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering and construction projects. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and report on schedule performance
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure accurate planning and resource allocation
- Support risk mitigation and contingency planning
- Prepare regular progress reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Project Planner in EPCM, pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industries
- Solid experience in project planning, scheduling or project management, preferably within the pharmaceutical, or biotech industry
- Proficiency in project planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Strong understanding of engineering and construction project lifecycles
- Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent experience
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site as needed
