Location: On-site | Full-Time | Car Parking Provided Clearance Required: BPSS+ Shift Pattern:

  • Rotating Shifts: 06:00-14:00 & 14:00-22:00 (Fridays: 12:00-20:00)
  • Monday to Friday (fortnightly rotation after familiarisation)
  • Additional midweek/weekend hours available ad hoc
  • 20% Shift Uplift

Panels Surface Treatments Technician, you'll be at the heart of advanced manufacturing, transforming raw components into flight-ready masterpieces. Your craftsmanship will directly contribute to mission-critical aerospace projects, with every detail you perfect helping launch the next generation of space and aviation technology.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver top-tier surface treatments with precision, following detailed production plans and quality standards.
  • Master a range of specialist techniques including spray painting, grit blasting, acid etching, and adhesive mixing.
  • Operate within cleanroom conditions, ensuring every product meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contributing to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Be ready to support operations both on-site and off-site - including exciting opportunities to work abroad.
  • Mentor trainees and share your expertise to help grow the next generation of technicians.

Your Skillset
Essential:

  • Confident interpreting technical drawings and electronic instructions.
  • Experience in high-precision industries like Space, Aerospace, Automotive, or Motorsport.
  • Comfortable working at height and mixing paint compounds to exact specifications.

Desirable:

  • 3+ years in toolmaking, sheet metal, or similar technician roles.
  • Cleanroom experience and a proactive approach to team leadership.
  • Skilled in masking, spraying, and maintaining spray booths and ovens.
  • Knowledge of waste disposal and environmental safety practices.
