Belcan are currently looking to recruit 3 Package & Virtual Verification Engineers for our client who are an electric vehicle manufacturer based in Leeds. The post is permanent and is paying competitively on an annual basis.
Job Purpose
Package and Virtual Verification Engineer is required with experience of new product development within the automotive industry specializing in EV application for worldwide market requirement
Summary
- Working closely with the engineering team to create world class products
- It is the role of the Vehicle Package and Virtual Verification department to ensure technical engineering capability that underpins the vehicle, works with the vehicle attributes and product definition during the concept phase
- Once out of the concept phase, the emphasis takes a bias towards ensuring the highest build quality through the NPD process
Activities
- Responsible for leading the weekly package review
- Support concept system selections to meet architectural requirements in line with Engineering targets and attributes
- Supporting technical reviews and issues
- Using CAD to create models to review
- Review of drawings from the wide engineering team and ensure their quality and integration into the wider vehicle
- Support concept system selections to meet architectural requirements in line with Engineering targets and attributes
- Ensuring adherence to Design Standards
- Create and present concise technical presentations for informed decision making
- Monitoring CAD level/status through the design process
- Support Virtual build and the Virtual OKTB process
Essential / Desirable Requirements Including Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
Degree level education in an engineering field.
- Automotive
- Mechanical
- Electrical
- Use of CAD, preferably or CATIA
Desirable Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years recent experience in automotive engineering
- Vehicle Electrification experience.
- Self-starter with high levels of resilience to lead root cause analysis.
- Provide balanced solutions for clear decision making.
- Proficiency in generating and presenting technical material in a concise manner to suit the audience.
- Understanding of Quality, Cost and Delivery
- Ability to work in a start-up environment.
