Marine / Fuel Coordinator

Belcan Workforce Solutions is offering a 12-month + contract for a Marine / Fuel Coordinator with a multinational oil and gas corporation in London. This full-time, on-site role involves coordinating and implementing safe, efficient, and cost-effective dispatch and voyage operations of chartered vessels. You will manage terminal/refinery inventory, lifting, and delivery schedules for crude and petroleum products.

Description:

Operate crude oil movements, equity sales and 3rd party purchases, in the Americas, North Sea, Baltic, West Africa, Mediterranean and Black Sea to ensure delivery in a safe & timely manner to refinery systems / 3rd party customers. Be the focal point for the Upstream,

Downstream, Refineries, Terminals, Charterers & Traders regarding these crude voyages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate cargo operations and scheduling.
  • Manage third-party equipment contracts.
  • Generate scheduling orders and ensure proper vetting of marine equipment.
  • Issue voyage orders and letters of indemnity.
  • Optimise fleet operations for cost reductions.
  • Provide accurate schedule and voyage information to stakeholders.
  • Arrange bunker supply for time-chartered vessels.
  • Support long-range planning and refinery turnarounds.
  • Resolve billing disputes and minimise demurrage losses.

Must Have Skills and Responsibilities:

  • 2-5 years of experience from a vessel owner or other trading organisation, with experience directly in a shipping role, carrying clean or dirty liquid cargoes
  • Examples of cargo management, vessel specifications and operations, charter party knowledge, voyage monitoring, terminal clearances
  • Familiarity with international maritime regulations and compliance requirements

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • Marine Commercial experience in freight operations and risk management.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and leadership abilities.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Knowledge of marine logistics.
