Belcan Workforce Solutions are seeking a Business Controller / Management Accountant on a 6-month contract to join our Defence client's team in Filton.

The client is offering up to £46.30 per hour Umbrella, the role is Inside of IR35. This is initially an on-site requirement whilst training then hybrid 3 days per week on-site.

Overview of the role:

Our client is seeking a Business Controller / Management Accountant to support the business unit controlling management accounting, the work is varied and requires strong analytical skills

Responsibilities:

As a key member of the controlling team, you'll:

  • Drive the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes across all business units.
  • Collaborate with operational managers to identify and validate improvement projects with strong business cases and ROI.
  • Deliver robust financial reporting to ensure performance visibility and early risk detection.
  • Challenge and support operational performance to help management meet their targets.
  • Evaluate business cases and investment proposals with a critical financial lens.
  • Contribute to controlling activities across Recurring Cost, Inventory, Non-Recurring Cost, and Capex.

Essential Skill Set

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA preferred) with 2+ years PQE in a manufacturing or commercial setting.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar financial reporting tools.
  • A proactive, positive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders across levels and countries.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.

Given the role's nature, the selected candidate will undergo BPSS clearance before commencing.
