Job Title: M&E Package Planner

Location: Reading, site-based

Employment Type: Contract (12 months - possible extension)

Belcan is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical & Electrical Package Planner. This is a site-based role, working under the guidance of the Head of Planning, where you'll play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining a detailed delivery programme using Primavera P6. This is a Construction Delivery role, not a PMO role. You'll be the go-to expert for all planning and schedule management activities, ensuring the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) elements of the programme are accurately represented and aligned with the overall delivery strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the M&E elements of the Mensa Programme to Complete (P2C).
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Partners and lead regular schedule reviews.
  • Facilitate interactive planning sessions to mitigate schedule risks.
  • Provide expert planning support and ensure data quality for upward reporting.
  • Work closely with Programme Planners to ensure delivery alignment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 within an enterprise environment.
  • Strong site-based experience delivering complex construction projects.
  • Deep understanding of NEC contracts and the Programme for Acceptance process.
  • Skilled in earned value analysis, WBS development, and schedule creation from limited data.
  • Ability to integrate M&E infrastructure with complex plant work packages.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Expertise in critical path analysis, float erosion, and scenario planning.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and construction drawings.
