Sitec a Belcan Company have an exciting requirement for an Aircraft Landing Gear Control Systems Engineer. This is initially a contract role via remote working along with the opportunity to move on to a permanent role.

Position

Landing Gear Nose Wheel Steering Control System (NWSCS) Senior Design Engineer

Job Description

The successful candidate will be capable of designing the whole NWSCS from architecture definition to detail design Including Reliability and Safety.

Based on customer specification requirements, he shall carry out the system Integration design of the system with the LG and A/C, whilst assuring the interface requirements and compliance with LG and aircraft. He/she will drive Hardware and Software design of the NWSCS.

Support and assure NWSCS qualification to customer and regulatory requirements.

Education / Qualifications

A Bachelor or Masters' Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or Aeronautics /Aerospace.

Experience

Consolidated and proven experience of at the least 10 years in Landing Gear design with specific knowledge in Nose Wheel Steering Control System design, at least 7 years on fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Integration capability of the NWSCS on the LG and on the aircraft highly desired.

Experience on previous international Aerospace development programs is a must.

Required knowledge and skills

  • Landing Gear Systems Architecture Design
  • Landing Gear Nose Wheel Steering Control System detail design
  • Electronic Hardware and Software Design skill

  • Basic knowledge of dynamic modelling simulation tools for hydraulic equipment behaviour
  • Deep knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical devices functioning (actuators, valves, servo
  • Actuated / controlled).
  • Knowledge and basic use of CATIA V5 tool desired
  • Knowledge and use of PLM for configuration and documentation management. Team Center by Siemens preferred.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.
  • Advanced use of software tools for documents editing, calculation sheet, and presentation slides preparation.
