Belcan are hiring on a Permanent basis for an IT Support Lead based in our Cheltenham facility.

The Position

We are seeking an IT/OT support lead to work with us on a service and support contract for one of our clients in the energy industry. You will be employed within our internal team to maintain and update IT and OT equipment to retain its cyber security level. When the contract is fully functional a system will be moving through the process continuously.

The team will initially be small and ramp as more sites come online. Building the team and managing them to deliver process to maintain defined KPI's will be the responsibility of the IT/OT Support Lead.

The role will be based out of our office in Cheltenham with 5 days expected in the office.

Key responsibilities:

  • Update IT and OT equipment in line with defined processes
  • Communicate any issues to the project technical lead and project manager
  • Propose new methods to improve efficiencies and mitigate risks
  • Build the team to support increasing online systems
  • Provide training to new team members
  • Maintain KPI's

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in implementation/management of IT Infrastructure and or SCADA projects
  • Technical qualification BTEC Level3, CCNA, or A Level, preferably in Computer Science with relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of setting up Windows Server, Active Directories, VMs, Docker Containers and also familiar working in a Linux Environment
  • Open to develop cyber security skills and work in Operational Technology/Control Systems domain
  • Ability to adhere to and recommend improvements to existing defined process
  • Ability to manage a team and mentor junior staff.
  • Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Preferred:

  • Programming knowledge (Python, Bash, SQL)
  • Setting up, Configuring Firewalls and Routers
