Belcan is thrilled to announce a new and exciting position for an IT Applications Manager who would be responsible for the delivery, growth, and value to the Belcan brand.

A varied role working across our multiple business units working with stakeholders across Engineering, Human Resources, Finance, Project Management and Cyber Security.

A hands-on role, fully involved throughout service transition and day-to-day delivery. Split 50/50 across Business as Usual (BAU) and Project / Enhancement work, involving mentoring a group of Application Consultants to ensure all incidents & service requests are resolved / fulfilled / escalated promptly; adhering to stringent SLAs and KPIs; whilst also leading relations with the business to deliver enhancements and value from the applications.

What to expect day to day:

You will have a managed an Application Support Team in either an internal or outsourced environment.

Lead a team of Application Support professionals to provide an excellent & consistent support service to all staff, performance and headcount forecasting and recruitment.

Regular 1-1 meetings with direct reports, managing their overall performance and development, ensuring all SLAs are met and managed efficiently through a quality process.

Act as a technical point of escalation and guidance for all aspects of the IT applications release and support.

Accountable for all the company's software applications, testing, release, & support of applications.

Support delivery of the IT strategy to modernise the business application architecture including providing input to application/infrastructure scalability and security.

Be progressive, have innovativeness that would further enhance the business & carry out viability studies for effectiveness to the business and present the results of your findings to the senior management team.

Design, support and improve new and existing products across the business.

Essential skills/experience:

Experience in supporting and developing Financial Application's.

Co-ordinating delivery of enhancements into releases, through collaboration with the business.

Possess strong Business Analysis and communications skills/abilities, both written and verbal, as you are expected to develop an in-depth working knowledge of the core business applications

Preparing project plans (ideally using Prince 2 or agile methodology), to ensure that new applications are operationally ready and manage the full life cycle of applications from operational acceptance and through support and retirement.

Experienced at driving & managing 3rd party/ supplier relationships, including holding delivery partners accountable to ensure that key timescales are adhered to manage any escalations and complaints that arise.

Willing to undertake ad-hoc tasks as deemed suitable by the business or management.

Desirable skills/experience:

Experience in supporting Oracle Fusion Financials, strong knowledge of communicating financial processes.

Providing consolidated production metrics to the IT Senior Management Team & Service reports to Senior Management Team and partake in Service Reviews

Own communications during a major system outage

Demonstrable understanding in Incident, Problem Management, Change Management and Release Management

Excellent interpersonal, influencing skills, interact with technical & business resources, driven but courteous

ITIL certified (foundation level)

Working knowledge of SQL

Experience of managing an overseas / virtual team will be highly advantageous
