Are you a seasoned professional in trade compliance with a passion for strategic planning and governance? We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of International Trade, Customs, and Compliance.
The company are at an exciting time in their growth plan,; specialising in providing innovative environmental solutions in a range of industries including agricultural solutions, forestry and vegetation management. Their ethos revolves around how nature and humanity can thrive together through environmental challenges with a focus on creativity, precision and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Governance: Develop and implement comprehensive customs and trade compliance strategies. Establish governance frameworks to ensure adherence to international regulations, export controls, and sanctions. Collaborate with senior management to integrate compliance into business planning.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate trade compliance risks. Develop and deliver training programs for employees. Conduct regular audits to evaluate and improve compliance controls.
- Compliance Programs Management: Design and oversee compliance programs. Establish global guidelines for due diligence screening processes. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with import/export requirements. Manage compliance-related investigations and audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in customs and trade compliance.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful compliance strategies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
