Graduate Repair Engineer

Belcan are looking for a Graduate Engineer to join their Repair team at an exciting time of growth, based in Bristol as either a Repair Desk Engineer, Design Engineer or Stress Engineer, dependent upon ability, background and career aspiration. The Graduate Engineer will join our team which is built upon years of Aircraft Repair Engineering heritage designing, analysing, approving and delivering minor and major primary and secondary structural repairs. From lightning strike, to uncontained rotor failure damage, and repair embodiment programmes covering entire fleets for large commercial and military aircraft (fixed wing and rotors).

Working with an approachable and experienced team of dedicated, responsive, dynamic and forward-thinking design, static and fatigue engineers. You will have exposure to communicating with OEMs compiling structural damage reports, digesting approved Technical Publications SRM, AMM, IPC, MPD, AD and SBs etc. Any OEM in-service repair experience will also be considered.

The role involves

  • The preparation of Technical Dispositions, Repair Instructions and the writing of approval documentation to support the repair certification process.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects with different time scales and priorities simultaneously.
  • The ability to write approval documentation to support the designs would be advantageous.
  • You will deliver repairs for live aircraft whilst working to strict timescales and with flexibility in your approach.
  • Provide the best solution for the life of the airframe is the minimum that we expect to achieve for our customers.
  • You must have the ability to proactively manage and organise individual workload.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree qualified with either an MEng or BEng Aerospace Design or Mechanical Engineering Degree (or equivalent).
