Contract Role 6 months+ based in Blantrye, Glasgow - Outside IR35
Due to the continued growth of Belcan's Marine Division we have an immediate requirement for a significant number of Detail Design Engineers with experience on Naval Marine Projects.
Project Deliverables and Role:
To undertake a defined range of detail design activities in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements, producing 3D models and 2D outputs to support operations and other functions and ensuring defined objectives are achieved whilst continually maintaining quality and service requirements.
The role has a strong focus on engineering delivery and quality.
Amongst other things the successful candidate will be comfortable working in an Engineering Service environment and will be able to balance the technical responsibilities inherent within the role, with the commercial and project timescale associated with delivery.
Key Skills Areas and Technical Knowledge required:
Piping and/or Layouts
Experience working with Foran 2D and 3D cad packages.
Experience working within Marine Ship Build Industry.
Previous Knowledge of working within an Engineering Services Environment desirable.
Ability to ensure own Project Deliverable is provided on-time, On-Cost and to Quality Standards.
Due to the nature of the work, successful applicants must meet eligibility requirements to obtain UK BPSS Clearance
