FEA Engineer

Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting for a FEA Engineer to be based in Bristol.

Our client operates across the UK and Ireland with a large industrial and manufacturing network comprising of 45 manufacturing sites making high performing products and solutions. We serve the construction sector, principally, but also the automotive, industrial, energy, agriculture and healthcare sectors. We also have a large retail network spanning more than 780 retail locations. This network supplies more than 400,000 general and specialist building materials.

Job Description:

  • Provision of FEA modelling and analysis expertise.
  • FEA tool development and implementation.
  • Automation of FEA, data analysis and interfaces.
  • Provision of technical support to R&D and Applications Engineering.
  • Supporting R&D and product innovations projects as the business progresses.
  • Development of FEA modelling tools and capabilities and their application within the business, for example:
    • Modelling of products and their applications;
    • Validation and verification of model output;
    • Exploration of the effect of key product variables in order to facilitate; development of improved designs;
    • Incorporation of FEA capabilities within the design process;
    • Provision of FEA support to customer projects.

Your Profile:

Essential:

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience using FEA, ideally in industry.
  • Experience with software programming.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

  • PHD or Masters in Engineering.
  • Experience using ABAQUS software.
  • Experience with Python.
