Electrical Design Engineer

A leading engineering organisation is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join their innovative Test Centre team in Filton. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on the development of next-generation hydrogen testing facilities and benches, contributing to the future of clean energy and sustainable technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop architectures for data acquisition and control systems.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics using industry-standard tools.
  • Specify instrumentation for a wide range of measurements (pressure, flow, voltage, current, etc.).
  • Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including system requirements and specifications.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or KiCad.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design principles and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with avionic data buses (A429, CAN, AFDX) and hardware interfaces (discretes, analogues).
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
