Belcan Workforce Solutions is working alongside a global market leader for sustainable, integrated measuring and process technology solutions in search for a Design Engineer to join their team based in Gloucester. My client requires a team member to maintain and enhance conveyor systems for a variety of customers.
The client manufactures fully customised process solutions, tailored to specific business needs and pride themselves on their ability to solve problems and transform business processes, and have done so for 140 years. They have an enviable global Client list and are market experts in their field. Their solutions range from modular systems to completely bespoke £multi-million solutions.
This is a varied role, and no two days are the same, you will support on multiple projects simultaneously and will be Client facing managing various aspects from design specifications through to installation and aftermarket care. This is a role that requires an agile mindset and being able to interface with Clients is key. Day-to-day tasks include enhancement and maintenance on different Client systems, site visits, reverse engineering, bulk material handling and working with integrated measuring and process technology.
You will have a shining can-do mindset as each customer requirement is a unique and different challenge. As a Design Engineer, you will be using programs such as Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. As a result, it is beneficial that you have previous experience using one, if not both of these packages. However, this is not essential as my Client is willing to upskill the right candidate. A mechanical background will be advantageous as would Client facing experience and the ability to support multiple projects due to the hands-on nature of the work. A UK driving licence would also be beneficial as you may be required to travel to client sites to work on machinery.
